ROTHERHAM CHOIR: For people who enjoy singing and wish to learn new songs and meet people with similar interests. At Rawmarsh City Learning Centre, Haugh Road, Rawmarsh Tuesday 7pm.

 

RAWMARSH METHODIST CHURCH: The service at 10.45am on May 29 was led by Rev J Park. There was no Prayer Group this week. The preacher on Sunday is Mr A Sheriff. There will be no evening service.

 

BEAVERS: Beavers have completed the Safety award with water safety prior to a visit to Old Moor nature reserve in Wath to do pond-dipping and mini beast hunting. They  have also learned about stranger danger and not to accept sweets or lifts from strangers and to attract adult help if approached. Pictures were coloured of these scenes.

 

CUBS: Cubs continued there Local Knowledge award and discussed final preparation for the 100 year camp at Walsby.

SCOUTS: Scouts commenced their First Aid award with various bases doing bandaging, arm slings and recovery position with various senarios.

RAWMARSH TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD: The guild held its recent meeting, a guest day, at the High Street Centre. Sixteen guests from guilds in the Rotherham federation were invited including president Steph Shackley. A programme of songs was provided by Kilnhurst Community Choir under conductor Jenny Newman and accompanist Liam.
