RAWMARSH ASHWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL: Sports Day will be held at The English Institute of Sport, Sheffield. This forms part of the school commitment to provide quality sports and PE to the children. All children from F2 to Y6 will visit EIS on March 18. Pupils will be taking part in athletic events including running, jumping and throwing. Parents/carers are welcome to watch the children, arrive by 12.15pm. F1 Closure Day – as all children from F2 to Y6 will be having their sports day on March 18, the Foundation Unit will be closed for F1 (part-time) children. The last day of school before the Easter holiday will be March 17 and children will return on April 4

 

RAWMARSH COMMUNITY SCHOOL: Movement Evening took place recently in the school hall. On March 2 Y11 had a Drop-in Session – Applying for Post 16 College, Sixth Form and Apprenticeships. Y8 have taken their reports home today.

9TH ROTHERHAM SCOUT GROUP: Beavers spent the last meeting finishing their Music Stage One Award by listening to different instruments. The learned about timing by clapping out song beats. Afterwards they continued with their Sport Award with relay racing and egg and spoon races. New Beavers – Milo Boon, Jacob Sayers, Jack Carver. The following Beavers are going up to Cubs – Sophie Hamstead, Sophie Fisher, Skye Walls. Bronze Chief Scout Award was presented to Rylan Charnock, Hannah Senior and Dylan Lack. Beaver of month is Hannah Senior. Cubs have been discussing ideas for St George’s Day. Shield and badges were given out for their Scientist Award and Teamwork Challenge. The scouts have been busy creating artworks for their Creativity Badge as well as making plans for future summer camps. The Family camp is now full and reserve list subject to DBS checks.
