ST BEDE’S CHURCH: There will be an evening mass on November 2 for all souls 7.30am enhanced with the choir. Friends or neighbours of parishioners who have suffered a bereavement in recent months are invited. The luncheon club met in the week. A group of children from St Bernard’s School set off in the week to travel to Lesotho to assist the local community. The Liturgy Group will meet on November 15 4.30pm in the parish rooms. The pipe organ was removed and sent to Henry Willis and Sons for repair. Gifts for the Christmas fayre may now be sent to the church. The fayre will be November 22 1-3pm in Forty Martyrs Hall.

ST PAUL’S CHURCH: The next Wednesday service is on October 28. St Paul’s now has a website with details of services, events and other information.  Access via A Church Near You and postcode S61 1AH. There is a box in church for any donations of tinned food, biscuits, perfumes etc for The Shiloh Project. St Paul’s Autumn Fair is on November 7 11am.

MASBROUGH AND THORNHILL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION: Bingo in the community hall on College Road available Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday 6-8pm.
