KIVETON PARK INDEPENDENT ADVICE CENTRE: A drop-in session, with no appointment necessary, will be held on Tuesday 1.30-3.30pm at the Customer Service Centre, Braithwell Road in Maltby. To contact (office hours) 01909 773966. The AGM is due to be held on June 8 5.30pm at the main centre within Kiveton Park Library. This is a public meeting and anyone can attend.

 

BEVAN CRESCENT COMMUNITY CENTRE: Following their recent success gaining this year’s Maltby Town Council Community Award, Mrs Dorothy Bromilow agreed to be interviewed by Rother FM last Thursday. On Tuesday, the centre will be holding a presentation event. In the recent past the centre has been redecorated by a number of students who have worked under the guidance of Mears Group. Each student will receive a certificate presented by the chair of Maltby Town Council, Cllr Jon Carratt. The community award will also be displayed.

MALTBY COMMUNITY BOWLING CLUB: May 23 – Maltby CBC A v Phoenix B, won 6-2; Brinsworth C v Maltby CBC B, won 1-7. Wednesday – Maltby CBC A v Valley Park D, won 8-0; Valley Park C v Maltby CBC B, won 0-8. Thursday night ladies team played at Thurcroft in the Dinnington and District League and won 156-123. Friday night doubles team won at Anston 8-2. Saturday club competition Coronation Cup Doubles – winners Mick Richardson/Cyril Viney, runners-up Jenny Richardson/June Baker.

SURGERY TIMES: Cllr John Turner, who represents the Hellaby ward on Rotherham Council, holds a surgery at Brooklands Club on Rotherham Road, Maltby, on the fourth Tuesday of each month 5.30-6.30pm.
