WHAT'S ON: Greasbrough

UNITED CHURCH: On October 4 the church held its harvest festival service led by Rev Simon Copley. After the service the produce was sold and the proceeds were sent to Christian Aid. A soup and sweet tea was held on October 5 followed by a quiz and beetle drive. The quiz was won by Margaret White, Dot Payne and Simon Copley. The beetle prize winners were Pat Critchlow, Pete Jackson, Grace Haynes and Dave Mee. The raffle winners were Maureen Taylor and Roger Kenny. On October 7 the friendship meeting was led by Margaret White and the speaker was Pat Critchlow.
