REMEMBERANCE SERVICE: This year’s service will be at the war memorial on November 8 10.30am.

 

SUNDAY SERVICES: Services at St Mary’s are now starting at 10.30am for a three month trial period. Breakfast and refreshments will be served 9.45am.

COFFEE POT: Free coffee, tea and cakes every Tuesday 10am in the meeting room at St Mary’s Church.

 

CHAPEL WALK CENTRE: A housing surgery is held every Wednesday 10am. There is bingo on Monday evenings and a fortnightly social on Saturday evenings. A craft course will begin on November 10. Contact 01709 822372.

 

MERE BROW CENTRE: Chat, games and coffee etc every Thursday 10am. On November 10, the Willmott Dixon Smart Bus will visit. The bus contains the latest high-tech computers with internet functionality. INDOOR BOWLS: The parish council is looking for someone to organise bowls sessions at the Memorial Hall. There are facilities which include two mats. Although interest has been shown from bowlers wishing to use the facility, to date no one has been willing to take up the reins. The council is offering free sessions for the first four weeks and sees this as an important social function for the village. Contact parish clerk 07985 327377 or Pete DeVeaux 07721 601128.
