COFFEE MORNING: The Macmillan coffee morning sponsored by Friends Of Catcliffe raised in excess of £120, final total still outstanding. Contact organiser Glenys Cooper 01709 375435 to donate. The excess cakes were donated to Rotherham Hospice.

 

ST MARY’S CHURCH: The new forum based on the Alpha online course, now running at the church on Wednesday evenings 7.30pm, has received support. Course leaders say there is still time to fit in anyone interested. The Friends of Catcliffe mobile WiFi will be available for anyone wishing to bring along their laptop, tablet or smartphone to aid their research. Contact Rev David Bent 01709 363850. Messy Church – the next meeting is October 17 at St Mary’s Church. These are family events involving crafts and other activities. Contact Jean Dermaine 01709 837470. Churchyard clean-up – on October 17 at St Mary’s Church: Friends of Catcliffe are joining forces again with members of the church to trim, prune and weed the graveyard area. Volunteers should meet at the church 10am. Anyone able to provide their own tools would be welcome but tools are available. Sunday services – services at St Mary’s will now start at 10.30am for a three month trial period. Breakfast and refreshments 9.45am.
