RUDDLE CENTRE: Activities began for the New Year. The children brought more of their little friends with them to the Toddler group. The board said farewell to Carole Walker and Val Hoyes, which leaves a number of vacancies. The board is encouraging new people to join it. If people think they could offer their time to support the development of the Ruddle Centre and its ongoing activities, they should have a chat with a board member or chair Roger Greenwood 01709 812417. The centre is particularly looking at filling the following post: a letting officer, contact Mike Hoyes 01709 816410. The following post has become available due to the current postholder gaining full-time employment: project co-ordinator for the Village Memories Heritage Lottery Project, 3-4hrs per week at £15 per hour, contact Christine Goldsack 01709 812617. There is a vacancy for a treasurer who will manage all financial aspects of BMRLA, for more in-depth information email [email protected]. The next Luncheon Club is on Thursday, to book a place contact Val Hoyes 01709 816410. The Chairobics Group meets on Monday 9.30am and is looking for new members, go along to class to find out more, first session free.

 

BROWNIES AND GUIDES: The Brownies baked and decorated gingerbread biscuits. The Guides did their final session on their Go For It that they started last half term.
