Weighty amount raised by Rotherham gym

IRON-pumping fund-raisers put plenty of cash in a charity’s pockets with a day of weightlifting.

Members of the Paleo Fitness Gym in Masborough Street, Rotherham, raised £400 with the competition and fun day.

It is all part of a charity drive by gym member Paul Simpson, whose stepfather Danny was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Paul, who has already pulled in £17,500 for Prostate Cancer UK, ran the London Marathon on Sunday to bring in more cash and raise awareness of the disease.
