Vintage Hop to celebrate a right royal birthday

The popular themed event returns on June 11 — timed to coincide with the Queen’s official 90th birthday celebrations.

Dozens of vintage vehicles are already set to appear at the street festival, along with singers and dancers paying tribute to the roaring 40s.

Acts will include Newcastle vocal trio the Darling Dollies and George Formby impersonator Paul Casper Esq.

A vintage market will offer classic fashions and accessories — retro fancy dress is highly encouraged.

Rotherham Borough Council’s Streetpride service is working with businesses to identify areas which need sprucing up ahead of the event.
