UB40 head South Yorkshire Hate Racism, Love Music gig

UB40 are among the leading names in British music taking part in a huge Love Music Hate Racism South Yorkshire carnival on May 1.

Some of the UK’s top live acts and DJs will celebrate Britain’s diverse multicultural society by rocking and raving together in Barnsley town centre.

Members of the bands UB40, the Reverend and the Makers, Chipmunk and Devlin are spearheading the event organised jointly by LMHR and Barnsley Borough Council.

The open-air festival, to be staged at County Way Car Park, is expected to attract 10,000 people from across the county.

The festival is a non-profit event with a cause and so tickets are just £8.
