WHISTON YOUTH CLUB: And just like that we are nearly at the end of our first half term before the October break. We have said goodbye to some of our founder members as they start their adult life. We have had many new members, all through word of mouth - such a testament to the fantastic group of young people we have built! We have played bingo, chess, swing the bean bag, ping pong, snooker, blooket, Zombies, arts, crafts, cards and much more. We have also had visits from our local police and supported the ‘Young Minds Hello Yellow’ campaign. We have also looked in detail around our values over a number of our sessions, supporting our young people to develop holistically. We have also held an anonymous questionnaire around what they love about Youth Club and what they would change (apart from my singing it was all positive) with some fantastic comments around how they feel safe and happy, including how everyone is nice. We close for October half term and reopen on Bonfire Night. On our final session this week we will be having our annual Halloween Party - look out for the pics on social media!
