Sailor plays part in capital Remembrance tributes

A SAILOR from Rotherham will be playing her part in London’s Remembrance celebrations this weekend.

Able Seaman Emma Johnson (25), will be among the Royal Navy contingent at the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow and at the Cenotaph remembrance service in on Sunday.

Having joined the Royal Navy in 2010, Emma is currently serving at HMS Drake in Plymouth.

She said: “It is a great honour for me to take part in remembering those who have fought and died for our country and also to say thank you to those who continue to serve and protect us.”
