Rotherham to honour Paris terror attack victims

The Celebration of French Music at St Bede’s Catholic Church in Masbrough next Thursday is being organised just before the anniversary of the attacks in the French capital, which falls on Remembrance Sunday, November 13.

Hide AdSt Bede’s organist and choirmaster, Paul Brennan, said: “As we near the first anniversary of the of Paris terrorist attacks, there will be a recital of French music with organ, trumpets and voice, in honour and remembrance of all those who have died in terror incidents over the last year.”
The concert, which will feature a variety of pieces by French composers, begins at 7pm and admission is free of charge.
Mr Brennan added: “The recital will also feature the recently fully restored ipe organ after a ten-month project of renovation and enhancements.
“Afterwards, there will be refreshments including wine and cheeses for all to enjoy.”
Soprano Gabriel Eastwood and trumpeters Alex and Liz Shields will also perform.
