Reindeer food sale raises money for Weston Park

A BEAUTY salon sold reindeer food and held tarot card readings to help raise more than £650 for Weston Park Hospital.

Inspired Beauty at Bramley also had discounted treatments and a raffle with donations from businesses and clients.

Julie Bowes, who runs the Bawtry Road salon, said: “We’ve done this charity night every year for eight years.

“I do it for Weston Park because my auntie died of cancer and my dad had radiotherapy there, but thankfully is okay now.

“They do such a great job and we really need to appreciate what’s on our doorstep in case we we ever need it.

“We had a percentage of all purchases going to charity. We made reindeer food to sell, and clients made cupcakes and gifts.

“We’re over £650 and we’re still collecting, so we’ll hopefully raise even more.”
