IT was certainly more of a treat than a trick as fundraisers marked Hallowe’en by raising thousands of pounds for charity.

A spectacular display of witches, skeletons, skills and around 40 pumpkins once again drew in the visitors and cash the Charlton’s family home on Gallow Tree Road, Brecks.

Also marking Hallowe’en in style was devoted dad Chris MacFarlane, who held a second tattoo fundraiser at his studio, in memory of his son Kieran Brydges, who died in September aged just 12.

The event, at S62 Tattoo, which he runs with business partner Amy Bellamy, saw the total amount raised for charities the Sick Children’s Trust and Rays of Sunshine to more than £4,000.
