New Godber play to be staged at Cast
AWARD-WINNING writer John Godber will take centre stage in his own play at a Doncaster theatre next month.
Mr Godbder will star alongside his wife Jane Thornton in Shafted! at the Cast theatre from Thursday, February 18 to Saturday, February 20.
The play tells the story miner Harry and his wife Dot in the 30 years after the 1984 miners’ strike as the pair struggle to settle into new jobs and rebuild their community.
