Museum date for poet Ian McMillan
BARD of Barnsley Ian McMillan will be helping out and meeting visitors to a Dearne Valley museum this weekend.
The poet will be lending a hand at Darfield Museum on Saturday.
Visitors to the museum will be able to admit some Eastern art in the Café-Gallery, with Japanese brush paintings, framed Japanese embroidery and an embroidered Chinese scene.

Hide AdThe display was put together after the artist expected to display during March pulled out.
A museum spokesman said: “From disappointment has come a stunning display that will delight the eye of all who enter the museum.”
The display is on view when the museum at 2 Vicar Road in Darfield is open —
Wednesdays 1pm to 4pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm.
