Lulu's journey comes to an end
Amy's verdict:
EVEN a spectacular fireworks display couldn’t pull me away from Strictly at the weekend and as usual the action was full of sparkle.
I thought the judges were really harsh with Jason, his rumba was much better than they gave him credit for.

Hide AdI also thought Robbie’s waltz was undermarked and you could see how disappointed he was with the comments.
Top performances for me were Anita’s Charleston, I just love that style of dance and I’m sorry to say that Russell’s paso doble was tremendous entertainment.
Alex should be commended for dancing on with her foot stuck in her dress but overall she is still too unstable for me.
I did like Chelsee’s Charleston but not as much as some of her other dances and I wish Aliona would put more content in her routines with Harry as each week they seem to do a show dance. His samba walks were good—yes he needed more bounce—but for a male celebrity I thought he was good and should have done less messing around (that’s for you Len).

Hide AdHolly’s Jive looked too much like a pop video, she can dance like a professional and while the routine was cool and inventive, I wanted to see something more like Jill Halfpenny’s groundbreaking routine.
Audley did a good job with the very testing Viennese waltz but I was certain that he was going to go.
Instead it fell to Lulu which was a shame as her tango showed significant improvement. I was annoyed that she didn’t thank Brendan on the results show—bad form. The first person the celebrities should always mention when they leave the show is their partner. Without his amazing choreography I don’t think she would have got as far as she did.
I have to mention the professionals performance to Beyonce’s Girls that opened Sunday night’s results show. AMAZING!!!
Next to go: Jason.

Hide AdLulu and Brendan, started the show off with the tango, which I thought was her best dance so far in the competition.
Audley’s attempt at the waltz was not very good, but his likeability, obviously outshone his dancing ability.
Harry’s samba, had the fluidity and movement of a professional dancer and I think, he will get even better.
Anita’s charleston suited her down to the ground, a hexagenarian master piece.
Jason’s rumba as always was pretty good, but not his best.

Hide AdAlex’s quickstep, was fast and furious, a bit too fast for Alex, at times, but still a great dance.
Robbie’s waltz, was too delicate, after last week’s thrustings, but ok.
I loved Russell's impression of Benny Hill, in his unique interpretation of the paso doble. Chelsee’s Charleston, was truly an energetic one. The judges said that she had ‘raw’ talent, but I thought it was cooked to perfection.
Finally Holly and Artem put a very modern twist on the traditional jive but I still liked it.

Hide AdI was sorry to see Lulu go, I don’t think she was the weakest, but that’s entertainment for you.
Next week I think it could be Audley, or Russell.
