Lifesavers plan water safety event

WATER safety will be among the topics covered during a Drowning Prevention Week event at Manvers Lake.

The Royal Life Saving Society’s South Yorkshire branch has organised the session on Saturday between noon and 4pm.

Organiser Kim Huck said: “The day is suitable for all ages and is aimed at teaching CPR, first aid, lifesaving and open water safety, and we will have beach competition games throughout the day.”

Canoeing is £3 per person but the rest of the day is free. Search RLSS South Yorkshire Branch on Facebook or email [email protected].
