GUESTS at an event this weekend will hear the story of how one man turned his life around after a decade of addiction and crime.

Goldthorpe Reform Working Men's Club on Nora Street will host Rich Ashby on Saturday who will be telling his story – 'Restored Beyond Belief – Story of My Life'.

Claire Ashby, from the leadership team at House of Grace - Dearne Valley, said: “We feel this event will be great for the community.

“Hear the amazing story of Rich Ashby whilst having a pint or two – he’ll probably shock you, definitely make you laugh and he's even going to sing!

“Abandoned as a toddler and brought up in care, listen to the story of restoration from over a decade of addiction, crime and jail to a life of complete freedom

“Everyone is welcome - its going to be a great night.”

The event starts at 7pm.
