Who is Inspired Day Care For?

From leaving education or to work alongside college Inspired Day Care is the next step for adults with special needs 18+. They cater for adults with complex health needs, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and other care related conditions. Clients can attend up to 5 days a week Monday to Friday

They offer a safe well-designed space for clients to access 1-1 support. They ensure person centred practice is at the heart of everything they do. Tailor made packages of support are designed to meet individual needs and their fully trained, experienced, friendly staff supported by a registered learning disability nurse are there to support the clients to reach their full potential.

What makes Inspired Day Care Different?

Inspired Day Care has been purposely renovated to cater for their clients. With tracking hoists throughout the building, fully accessible changing facilities and activities to suit all abilities, the client’s quality of life is top priority.

The hydrotherapy pool is accessible for our clients, with changing beds, tracking hoists and large spacious changing areas. Staff support clients to follow programmes produced by their physio’s, to enable exercise, relaxation, and improve/maintain mobility.  

There is a therapy kitchen to promote life skills with a height adjustable workbench, an art room with fully accessible equipment including a Freasel (a fully adjustable easel to make painting and drawing easily accessible to everyone). Even a salon for a bit of a pamper to get your nails done or have a relaxing hand massage or foot spa.

Take a visit to the Interactive IT suite which includes a 65” touch operated smart board so clients can access the internet, play games and draw pictures on the interactive whiteboard. Or if movies are more your thing visit the cinema room with its 85” screen.

The large activity room contains sensory toys, bubble machine, a parachute for games, board games, jigsaws, musical instruments, books and a story telling Tonie Box.

 The two sensory rooms are fully furnished to stimulate senses in a relaxing environment. Clients’ may experience the enjoyment from bubble tubes, interactive sounds, smells, light and visual panels accommodating all available senses.

The Immersive room offers a full immersive sensory experience. Projection onto 3 walls and the floor which are all have fully interactive touch response. There are games, sensory relaxing experiences, or it can be used for de-sensitisation with such things as traveling on public transport or visiting the hospital.

How do you secure a place?

Families and potential clients are welcome to contact Inspired Day Care to book a visit and have a tour of the facilities. Referrals and funding are often completed with social workers dealing with clients ongoing care.

Can I hire the facilities?

The day centre is open 5 days a week for clients to use but can be booked outside day centre hours on evenings and weekends for use by families, supported living or residential services or even swim clubs or private physio’s.

Inspired Day Care Services also operates a homecare and in-home respite provision 24/7. Clients will be supported by fully trained staff who will meet the needs on a person centred fully assessed basis. We want families/carers to be able to go out for an evening or away for a few days, with the knowledge that their loved one will be safe and looked after whilst remaining settled at home.
