Help on offer at Swinton event

TENANTS and residents are invited along to meet members of community groups at a networking event next week.

RotherFed is hosting the session from noon to 2pm next Friday at Swinton Civic Hall.

Visitors can find what community courses are available and what funding is available.

Stallholders include the Learning Community, Workers Educational Association, Community Fire Safety, Safe@Last, South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau, Swinton Lock Activity Centre, SYHA Digital Inclusion, Police Community Support Team and Remember When Reminiscences.

A free buffet lunch has been organised by RotherFed.

Development officer Alan Goy said: “If you want to set up a community group or tenants’ and residents’ association in Swinton we can help.

“Alternatively, just join us for a chat — everyone is welcome.”
