Hardcore punk, rock, and pop bands unite for 'Fight for Ukraine' charity event in Rotherham Pub

A PACKED line-up of punk, rock and pop bands will be raising the roof at a Rotherham pub to show solidarity with Ukraine.

Fight for Ukraine will take place across two stages at the Bridge Inn on Chantry Bridge next Saturday, with all proceeds from a collection going to refugee charity Safe Passage 4 Ukraine.

It’s being organised by Isaac Robinson of rock band Rosehill who said entry was free but donations are encouraged.

“I am putting this on because the war in Ukraine is not finished,” he said.

“Millions of people are affected by this and the number only increases.

“I have friends in a few different countries and know a lot have been affected by the war.

“It seems to be so close to our door and I keep hearing about the horrors people are going through so I just wanted to do something to help, however small.”

Isaac said one stage would have a hardcore punk line-up while the other will have a rock and pop theme.

Stage one will be headlined by Negative Frame, with Divine Hatred, Closed Casket, Bitewound, Distort, Memories, The Tura, Afterburn and Rosehill rounding out the line-up.

The second stage will be headlined by Slowmove, with support from Mouth Parts, Cages for Preachers, Skint Knees, Realms, After Reason, Camisado!, Crooked Smiles and Bansith.

“It has all sorts — something for everyone to enjoy,” Isaac added.

“We’ve played the Bridge a few times and when we asked them, they were all for it and we’ve worked well together on it
