LOVE this beautiful Rotherham scene? Reckon you can do better?

One talented reader will see their photograph featured on the side of a building in Rotherham as we look to celebrate the best in amateur photography talent.

This week, we’re launching our first Rotherham Advertiser Views of Rotherham photography competition in partnership with Gallery Town and design agency Idea UK.

Our three favourites will all be framed by a top Rotherham framing studio and the overall winner will be displayed in the town centre as part of the Gallery Town open-air gallery of artwork and photographs.

You can enter any picture taken in the Rotherham area but please ensure your photos are high resolution quality.

As for the subject matter, the choice is yours - it could be a local landmark, a favourite portrait or a landscape that sets your heart racing.

Entries should be sent with photographs attached as jpegs to [email protected] with Photography Competition as the subject.

Up to five photos are allowed per entry (preferably submitted in separate emails to account for image size). Please include your name in the image name.

Images may be used online and in the paper as competition entries, in the open-air Gallery Town exhibition and to promote the competition

The closing date is Monday, November 9, and the winner and two runners-up will be notified the following week.
