Gervase Phinn to speak to BBQ guests

AUTHOR Gervase Phinn will be the guest speaker at a charity event next week. (28).

The celebrated Rotherham writer will be at the NSPCC’s summer BBQ at Hellaby Hall from 7.30pm on Thursday.

Gervase is also a comedian, poet, broadcaster and educational guru.

He is best known for his best-selling series of Dales books for Penguin and his novels with Hodder.

The writer will be giving a talk and is sure to entertain guests with his witty stories about his life and his many humorous encounters with children.

Claire Reading, NSPCC community fundraising manager, said: “We’re thrilled that Gervase Phinn is our guest of honour at the Hellaby Hall Summer BBQ.

“I’m sure it will be a night to remember and tickets are selling fast.”

Tickets are £25 including BBQ, dessert and coffee.
