Gear we go as Tour de Yorkshire timings announced

FINAL timings for this year’s Tour de Yorkshire - which will pass through parts of Rotherham and Doncaster - have been announced.

Millions of spectators are expected to line the route of the Tour which run between Friday, April 29 and Sunday, May 1.

Stage two of the race - from Otley to Doncaster - will take place on Saturday, April 30.

Cyclists will pass through Sprotbrough, Conisbrough, Stainton, Tickhill, Bawtry and Doncaster.

The women’s race will reach Barnburgh at about 10.40am to 11.50am and the men’s race at around 4.18pm to 5.15pm.

WOMEN’S RACE –

Barnburgh 10.40am, High Melton 10.44am, Cadeby 10.49am, Sprotbrough 10.53am, Warmsworth 10.55am, Conisbrough 10.59am, Conisbrough Castle 11.03am, Stainton 11.13am, Tickhill 11.21am, Harworth and Bircotes 11.28am, Bawtry 11.35am, Austerfield 11.37am, Bessacarr 11.49am, Doncaster 11.59am.

MEN’S RACE – 

Barnburgh 4.18pm, High Melton 4.21pm, Cadeby 4.25pm, Sprotbrough 4.29pm, Warmsowrth 4.30pm, Conisbrough 4.34pm, Conisbrough Castle 4.37pm, Stainton 4.45pm, Tickhill 4.52pm, Harworth and Bircotes 4.57pm, Bawtry 5.03pm, Austerfield 5.05pm, Bessacarr 5.15pm, Doncaster 5.23pm.
