Charlotte flaunts her four-octave range in her thought-provoking single which showcases her honest songwriting and touches on themes of mental health and depression.

She said: “Like a Ghost was written in a mental health spiral where every day was a huge effort and I had no energy at all.

“During that time, I had a songwriting session with my producer and it was obvious to us both that I had a lot going on in my mind that was very dark.

“As we were writing the song I remember thinking: ‘Wow, I’m actually admitting how I feel right now’ and it was a very freeing and scary place to be.”

Charlotte created the song with her production and writing partner Jim Lawton, who has worked with rapper Example and DJ Todd Edwards, and together they worked through the singer’s experiences and feelings.

Charlotte said: “Jim ran with it and let my thoughts and lyrics flow.

“At times, I felt like apologising or trying to justify my dark train of thought, but as soon as I accepted my headspace the experience was very therapeutic.

“Now, from a healthier place and mindset, I’m ready to share this experience with the intention of helping others and spreading awareness about mental health.”
