Family fun day to boost Help for Heroes

A FAMILY fun day in aid of Help for Heroes is to be held next week.

Organised by Webhelp, the event will take place at Mexborough Athletic Sports Club on July 9, starting at noon.

Organiser Alan Leonard said that the event would show the talents of the community.

He said: “We are looking for all Mexborough people to pull together to show how great our community is.

“We are also looking any local groups that are willing to come along on the day and do an exhibition, so any dance troupes, marching bands, brass bands, martial arts groups, animal display groups, anything whatsoever, you are all welcome. Please drop me a line to book your slot.

“We are also looking for anyone who wants to have a craft or trade stall but you will need to bring your own tables.

“We will ask for a minimum donation of just £10.”

There will also be a Help for Heroes giant raffle.
