Dancing for charity at revived ballroom

A REVIVED ballroom will host its first charity dinner dance next weekend.

A REVIVED ballroom will host its first charity dinner dance this weekend.

Mexborough Empress Ballroom is the venue for a night of entertainment next Saturday featuring a performance by top Junior Latin Dance couple Christopher Buttle and Ruma Baker.

Up to 250 guests will also have the chance to enjoy a four-course dinner of Indian foodi with comedian Josh Daniels acting as compere and introducing a Pink tribute act and an auction of sporting memorabilia.

The night will end with Northern Soul sets by DJs Hinchy & Yogi.

Proceeds will go to the Dearne Valley Personal Development Centre, which is based on the premises and provides training and education for young people not in mainstream schools or colleges

 and represents a fantastic opportunity for businesses to show support to an honourable cause, whilst raising their profile with peers, and a chance to extend their business network.

Local sporting heroes Tommy Joyce and Alan Richardson and Dennis Priestley. are all on the guest list.
