Continental Market set to return

ROTHERHAM will go all continental again next week as the popular Continental Market returns tothe town centre.

From Wednesday to Saturday, an international flavour of stalls from Italy, Germany, Turkey and even South America will set up shop, offering a mouth-watering selection of global delicacies and European-inspired goodies.

Markets operations manager Dean Thurlow said: “The Continental Market is one of the highlights of shopping in the town centre, somewhere you're guaranteed to discover something different, from European street food to continental handmade goods.

“This annual event adds to our fine selection of markets.

Rotherham has been a market town for 800 years and provides a fantastic six-day shopping experience, from our permanent indoor market and covered outdoor market to the weekly Tuesday street market, with over 70 stalls.

“We recommend everyone visits one of our markets to see the fabulous things for sale.”

The Continental Market will be trading between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
