Conisbrough celebrates the cinema

A CELEBRATION of cinema will be held in Conisbrough next month.

The Ivanhoe Centre will host a weekend of film screenings in a mini-festival being organised by Conisbrough Community Association.

The event will run from Friday, November 14 to Monday, November 17 and will feature kids’ film Planes 2 and films for adults, which have yet to be confirmed.

CCA director Carol Fleming said the aim of the event was to celebrate the town’s cinema history and recall the days of Conisbrough’s Globe cinema.

She said a full programme would be announced in the next few weeks.
