Christmas cheer comes to Conisbrough

CONISBROUGH Christmas Market will bring dozens of stalls and sackloads of Christmas cheer to town this weekend.

The busy market runs from 10 am until 4pm and Church Street will be closed off to traffic for the whole day to allowing everyone to browse the stalls and soak up the atmosphere at their leisure.

There will also be a small funfair in Sainsbury’s car park, artisan craft stalls and festive fairs at St Peter’s Church and Conisbrough Community Library, plus live music around the Christmas tree, and of course a Santa’s grotto in the church car park.

Youtube stars A Shaw Thing will be performing their Christmas single Christmas Shopping — a day after it has been released for download — at 11am and 2pm.

SCALLYWAGS toddler group at Mexborough Baptist Church will be hosting a Christmas fair on Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm, with stalls and refreshments.
