The Wombwell Mixed Voice Choir has strong links with the Thurnscoe Choir as it was formed many years ago by the late Colin Leach, the musical director of Thurnscoe Harmonic Choir for over 45 years.

The programme for tomorrow night will include a number of pieces that the Thurnscoe choir are currently recording for a new CD, which will be available shortly an ideal Christmas gift.

These include Lascia Ch'Io Pianga by Handel,The Sunset Poem by Dylan Thomas and many popular items from musicals.

The Thurnscoe choir’s version of The Unchained Melody by Mark Bymer is not to be missed and well worth the admission price alone.

Tickets for tomorrow’s concert are priced at £5 and are available from St Mary’s Church and from 01226 715172 or 01302 785537.
