Choir hunts for new pianist

Kilnhurst Community Choir is a recently-formed group of singers, now over 30-strong who rehearse on Thursday evenings.

But they need a piano player to ease the strain on choir leader Jenny Newman.

She said: “Conducting and playing the piano at the same time is limiting the choir’s progress and giving me a headache, so we are looking for someone to play regularly for us.”

The choir meets on a Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 9pm at Kilnhurst Community Resource Centre to sing all types of lighthearted music.
