Children’s festival promises fortnight of fun
SHAKESPEARE, singing and storytelling are all involved over the next fortnight as the annual Children’s Festival returns to Rotherham.
New York Stadium is the venue for the two-week event, which kicks off tomorrow with the opening performances of the Rotherham Shakespeare Festival.
This year’s programme includes the Rotherham’s Got Talent showcase, a Nursery Rhyme Sing-a-long-a-thon and the free One World, One Community Carnival and Learning Market from 11am to 2pm next Friday.
Children will be singing, flashmobbing, African drumming and selling the fruits of their enterprise projects in schools.
