Career tips for 1,000 students at Wales High School event
Around 50 stallholders, including employers, colleges and universities, were at Wales High School for the event — the first of its kind at the school.
The event was open to students in Year 11 and in sixth form — not just from Wales High School, but from all schools in the area.

Organiser Mr Kier Birch, who is deputy director of the school’s sixth form, said he was pleased with the turnout on what was a dark and rainy night.
“This shows the passion our community have for our children’s futures, as both students and parents were invited across Rotherham,” he said.
“The atmosphere was electric with plenty of meaningful conversations taking place around the school.”

“There are definitely talented and enthusiastic students at Wales High School and in the wider Rotherham area.
“It was great to meet the people who will be the future of our community and I’m already excited at the prospect of another event next year.”
