Broadway night was fantastic, but Nancy's got to go!

WELL, wasn’t this weekend’s Broadway-themed edition of Strictly absolutely fantastic!

I was so delighted that Audley wasn’t in the bottom two, despite predicting that he would be next to go.

Stand-out performances for me were Harry, although I would’ve like more Jive content, Alex with her sublime Viennese Waltz and Holly’s sexy Tango.

The costumes, live music and theatrical routines were superb and it’s shows like this that make staying in on a Saturday night worthwhile.

I was however annoyed that Chelsee only got a six from Craig—I think because she can dance she is being marked more harshly than some of the other ‘entertaining’ contestants.

I think as the weeks go on, the judges will get more and more focussed on technique and the less able dancers will start to stand out.

It was a shame to see Dan go, but he was neither a showman nor a great dancer so he was always going to be at risk.

Viewers don’t go for ‘safe’ contestants. They want chaotic or very capable.

Please let’s see Nancy go next week!

Holly Valance was again picked to open the show and what an opening she made. Her ‘get out of jail’ card was used to perfection, still a favourite.

Anita Dobson, was great, her 'motion of the ocean', really rocked my boat. Alex made her dance look easy and put on a lovely performance.

Russell, for a man of his stature, is very light on his feet, Rory impressed me with his top hat routine, Robbie held his own, but the three dancers of the night, for me, were Harry , Jason and Chelsee.

I love Chelsee’s dancing, she’s coming on in leaps and bounds, a pleasure to watch. Harry’s T-Bird moves were well thought out, then Jason brought the house down and got a standing ovation, a truly memorable night.

The only thing that marred the night was the fact that Nancy is still in there. Dan didn't deserve to go. I must say what a fantastic group of singers they have on the show, great vocals.

Surely Nancy has to go this week, but I’m not holding my breath. I just hope the overall dancing is as good.
