Britpop band The Bluetones bring acoustic hits to Mexborough

BRITPOP fans are in for a trip back in time next month as members of one of the era’s breakthrough bands drop by to play some of their biggest hits.

Mark Morriss and Adam Devlin, best known as the frontman and guitarist of The Bluetones, will perform at the Imperial Music Venue in Mexborough on May 12.

The Bluetones enjoyed chart success in the mid-1990s with singles such as Bluetonic, Slight Return (a No 2 hit) and Cut Some Rug, while debut album Expecting to Fly made it to No 1 in 1996.

Morriss and Devlin will perform an acoustic set at the Imperial.
