Brinsworth’s on the run

AN UNDER-16s fun run will take place alongside a popular 10km race for the first time.

Both runs will be next Sunday, July 5, at the Brinsworth Comprehensive School, the fun run will start at 10am with the 10k following at 10.30am.

The race has raised over £30,000 for local cancer charities since it was started in 2010 by Mark and Joanne Robinson in memory of Mark’s dad Kevin Robinson, who lost a short battle with cancer in 2009.

The fun run is in memory of Ian Burton, who was a PE teacher at Brinsworth Comprehensive School for 36 years.

Entry is £10 for the 10k and £3 for the fun run and all monies will be donated to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
