Artists enjoy moment in the spotlight

MEMBERS of the Low Valley Art Workshop are enjoying their moment in the spotlight this month.

The walls of the Café-Gallery at Darfield’s Maurice Dobson Museum on Vicar Road are currently the hanging space for pictures by members of the society.

Museum spokesman Geoffrey Hutchinson  said: “This is a very colourful display of pictures in a wide variety of media and subjects, which have been produced by the group that meet in the museum weekly on a Monday evening.

“The Low Valley Art Group was founded a number of years ago under the leadership of Darfield’s Gerald Bradbury and is a self help group without formal teaching.

“They are always happy to welcome new members of all abilities and interests.”
