All sorts of fun at Cast's Children's Festival

DINOSAURS, dragons, space and snot will be on offer this half term during a theatre’s children’s festival.

Doncaster’s Cast Theatre is set to hold a range of events for youngsters between October 22 and October 30.

The Children’s Festival will kick-off with a free fun day on Saturday, October 22 from 10am to 4pm which will give families the chance to explore the theatre and get creative.

Mimika Theatre will return to Cast with Landscapes which will recreate the atmosphere, rhythms and sounds of the natural world on Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25.

Arts Explosion on Monday, October 24 will be a fun and creative morning incorporating drama, dance, and music workshops, as well as a performance of Landscapes. 

Tots and babies can explore instruments and singing in Opera North’s Little Singers on Tuesday, October 25 which then continues weekly during term time from Wednesday, November 2. 

So-called “mucusical” The Nose That Nobody Picked follows gardener Christopher and Little Big Nose in an adventure on Wednesday, October 26 as they encounter an eccentric plastic surgeon.

Children will travel back to 1967 for Alfie White Space Explorer in a cosmic tale of discovery on Thursday, October 27. 

BBC Rhyme Rocket’s Dommy B is back with lyrics, laughs, and lots of joining in on Friday, October 28 with an exciting adventure called Aaaaaaaaaaaaagh! Dinosaurs!

Teenagers and young people can get involved in the Halloween Adventure Project from Wednesday, October 26 to Friday, October 28 by helping to create a spine-chilling spooktacular The Haunted Theatre on Friday night. 

Magician Paul Daniels’ last ever work is showcased in enchanting new family musical Don’t Dribble on the Dragon on Sunday, October 30.
