Adele piles on the sex, blood and intrigue in new vampire novel

FORMER Rotherham author Adele Carrington got herself covered in blood to promote her new vampire novel.

But the gore dripping from her teeth was fake as she posed at a photo-session for her her book, Denial, which is the first part of a series called the Varolac Journals.

Adele used to live and work in Rotherham and is due to appear n Rotherham Hospital’s Radio Nightingale to talk about the book which features a woman character called Faith Tomlinson who takes the reader on a journey of ‘blood, sex and intrigue.’

Adele is taking part in a charity challenge called Battle of the Books for Lex in which she and fellow author Rebecca Kershaw will be competing to land as many sales for their new books as possible.

Both have pledged to give the royalties from their book sales between December and February to the Alexander Strong Appeal, which supports a seven-year-old boy known as Lex who is having treatment for rare cancer neuroblastoma.
