Two events will feature singers and more gracing the ground to showcase their skills.

June will see hopefuls take centre circle, all vying to be crowned top performer in Rotherham’s Got Talent.

Auditions take place in Rawmarsh on Tuesday, with a lucky few making the shortlist for a performance at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

More than 50 acts entered last year’s contest, with 15 dancers, musicians and singers invited to the grand finale.

This year’s final round begins at 7pm on Friday, June 12.

The annual Children’s Festival will end on Wednesday, July 8 with One Voice — a concert featuring 2,500 Rotherham youngsters, singing a programme of popular songs.

The recital will be hosted by TV presenter and music idol Toyah Willcox and is expected to draw 5,000 people.

Tickets cost £5 each and are available now from the stadium’s box office.
