VIDEO: Rotherham groups join global anti-violence dance event

ROTHERHAM joined a mass global dance event to raise awareness of violence against women. 

The same routine was performed by women in communities across the world as part of the One Billion Rising campaign.

Staff from Rotherham United’s Red and White Shop, Rotherham Borough Council Staff Rotherham Libraries, Newman Special School and Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (which co-ordinated Rotherham's efforts) all took part, as did members of running group Kimberworth Striders. 

Every year, the campaign aims to show local communities and the world what one billion looks like, and shine a light on the impunity and injustice that survivors often face.
