Three-day arts festival coming to Ulley Country Park next week

ULLEY Country Park will host a three-day arts festival featuring music, poetry, painting and pottery.

It begins on Friday, June 28, with poet Ian McMillan and musician Luke Carver Goss at the Spillway from 7pm. Tickets are £10 (£4 under-16s).

The Saturday will feature music from City of Sheffield Pipe Band and African drummers, as well as Mr Kai’s Circus Skills and James Brunt’s Natural Art.

The event, which is organised by the Friends of Ulley Country Park, closes on the Sunday with performances from Scuppered Folk Group, South Yorkshire Police Band and a singalong to Mamma Mia. Tickets are £5 (£2 under-16s).

Also taking place through the weekend will be free activities including pottery with Caroline Lee, insect art, painting and printing, a mini garden competition, storytelling, pebble-painting and a story treasure trail. Eight schools are taking part with performances or exhibiting artwork.
