THEATRE PREVIEW: He Ain't Heavy at The Civic on Wednesday


He Ain’t Heavy is a touching new physical theatre production by Oddly Moving director Grania Pickard.
Using physical theatre, aerial circus, audience interaction and storytelling, Grania tells the story of growing up with her disabled, autistic brother Sean.

Hide AdThrough puppetry, the audience sees how Sean walks, talks and interacts with the world and how his unique take on life has shaped and influenced the performer.
Grania said: “When people ask me about my brother, I usually give them the short answer — he has severe learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism.
“He Ain’t Heavy is the long answer.”
Two shows take place at The Civic on Wednesday, October 3 — the first at 1.30pm and the second at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 concessions and £8 for children. The performances is recommended for ages 12 and over.
