Rotherham Rep take on classic comedy Yes, Prime Minister

ROTHERHAM Rep are promising a riotous mix of sex, scandal and scheming next week as they bring classic BBC comedy Yes Prime Minister to the stage.
Written by BBC writers Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, Yes Minister and its sequel Yes Prime Minister were among the most popular comedies of the late 20th century.

She told The Daily Telegraph that “its clearly-observed portrayal of what goes on in the corridors of power has given me hours of pure joy”.
Jim has to cope, in the age of 24-hour news, with a divided cabinet, a sinking pound and the potential collapse of a European Council conference.
With the threat of financial meltdown just hours away, the only hope of rescue rests on a morally dubious deal with the foreign minister of obscure state Kumranistan.
