Exhibition takes you to the seaside — in Rotherham

Artful Make It Happen’s new exhibition at Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park features the work of artist Shaun Myers.

The watercolour artist, who studied graphic design at Rotherham College, is showcasing paintings of coastal seaside towns in North Yorkshire including Whitby, York, Scarborough and Staithes, and famous locations like New York, London and Venice.

Vicky Hilton, from Artful, said: “This is the third artist we have showcased at the Waleswood and it works perfectly.

“Shaun’s work has been a huge success already, with visitors admiring his work, and he sold a painting on the opening night.

“The venue is surrounded by the natural beauty of Rother Valley and makes it the perfect spot for an exhibition.

“The staff are brilliant and the coffee is top notch.”

The exhibition of Shaun's paintings will be on show until October and all artwork on display is for sale.
