Winger White keen to play a part

WINGER Aidy White is looking forward to adding more bite to the Rotherham United attack once he hits full stride.

The summer recruit from Leeds started the first two games and after being dropped to the bench last Saturday, he came on at the NYS in midweek and gave the Preston defenders something extra to think about.

It's all a step up on last term, when injury restricted him to just one appearance, ironically against the Millers, on the final day.

A player with an ability to beat defenders on the inside or outside, White offers Steve Evans a  fresh attacking option and he isn't daunted by tough away assignments like the next one at QPR tomorrow.

“The Championship is relentless, any team can beat anybody. All the games are tough and we've got to compete with that,” he says.

“Hopefully I can play my part for the club and so far I've enjoyed myself.

“I want to get minutes in and I think that will help with my sharpness.

“I like to get at defenders and make things happen and the more game time I can get, the better and stronger I'll become.”
